Plannotator Compound

The skill
Plannotator compound reads a planner's archive of denied plans, sorts the feedback into a taxonomy, and builds an HTML dashboard with corrective prompt instructions.
Only when you ask.
The habit
Fewer denied plans each month.
↻ Runs by itselffirst day each month
When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after one report per run; re-launches a failed extraction batch at most once.
Use the Plannotator plans folder, or fall back to Claude Code ExitPlanMode denial reasons, or ask you for a folder.
Find the highest compound-planning-report version and ask you whether to run incremental or full.
Count approved and denied files, the date range and the revision rate, and warn you if fewer than 3 new denials exist.
Haiku agents read every in-scope denied file and write structured notes to /tmp/compound-planning/.
A Sonnet agent builds the denial taxonomy, recurring phrases, evolution over time and numbered prompt instructions.
Write a self-contained HTML report with seven sections in the plans folder under the next version name.
Tell you the top three patterns, the share of denials the instructions cover and where the report lives.
Ask whether to write the instructions to enterplanmode-improve-hook.txt, and replace, merge or keep an existing one.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the Plannotator Compound skill helps.
No. Without a Plannotator archive the skill reads denial reasons from Claude Code ExitPlanMode transcripts instead.
Only if you pick a full run. An incremental run reads denied files dated after the last report.
It saves the corrective instructions to a file that Plannotator injects into future planning sessions.
Copy the prompt at the top into your agent. It installs the skill from backnotprop/plannotator and sets up the habit. Or run npx skills add backnotprop/plannotator --skill plannotator-compound.
