The skill
Watches a video and answers your questions.
Only when you ask.
Time saved
Saved videos turn into notes with times. You learn more in less time.
↻ Runs by itselfwhen you add a video to your list
When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after 3 videos per run with no automatic retries.
Your agent runs setup.py --check, and on a first run asks you the engine, detail and transcription questions.
It picks the next URL or local path and the question from the queue.
It runs watch.py with the source and --question as separate quoted arguments.
It relays the Gemini answer with timestamps, or reads every frame and the transcript on the local engine.
On a Gemini failure it tells you and offers --engine local instead of switching by itself.
It writes timestamped notes, names missing evidence and marks the video done.
It removes only the disposable work dir from this run.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the Watch skill helps.
Only with the gemini engine. The local engine extracts frames and transcript on your computer, and whisperx keeps audio local too.
No. The skill treats frames, captions, titles and transcripts as untrusted evidence, never as instructions.
Copy the prompt at the top into your agent. It installs the skill from bradautomates/claude-video and sets up the habit. Or run npx skills add bradautomates/claude-video --skill watch.
Yes. It is published under MIT. Habit is free too.
