The skill
The pudl skill helps energy data users explore PUDL: find tables, read column meanings and usage warnings, and load Parquet from S3 or locally, covering EIA, FERC and EPA data.
Only when you ask.
The habit
Know when your PUDL tables change.

When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after 20 watched tables per run; reads metadata only, never full tables.
Run python scripts/fetch_descriptor.py to refresh assets/cache/.
Use the datapackage skill's jq patterns for each watched table.
Compare fields, schema.foreignKeys and warnings with last week.
Flag watched tables that are not out_* tables.
List changes and warnings and log the new schema.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the PUDL skill helps.
No. The skill says the PUDL bucket is public and ambient credentials should be bypassed.
The skill prefers out_* tables for analysis.
