The skill
The google agents cli deploy skill by Google guides deploying agents with agents-cli to Agent Runtime, Cloud Run or GKE: CI/CD, secrets, service accounts, sizing, rollback and troubleshooting.
Only when you ask.
The habit
Agents deployed only after your approval.
↻ Runs by itselfeval scores ready
When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after one deploy per run, or when the same error shows 3 times in a row.
Your agent follows google-agents-cli-workflow, and uses google-agents-cli-scaffold if the project has no deployment target.
It asks you to choose Agent Runtime, Cloud Run or GKE, using the decision matrix.
If there is no target yet, it runs agents-cli scaffold enhance . --deployment-target.
It pastes the eval scores and test results and asks if you are ready to deploy to dev.
Only after your explicit yes, it runs agents-cli deploy with the needed flags.
If the command times out, it runs agents-cli deploy --status every 60 seconds until done.
It runs agents-cli run --url with a prompt to test the deployed agent.
It writes the target, URL and result to the deploy log, and notes google-agents-cli-publish for registration.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the Google Agents CLI Deploy skill helps.
No. agents-cli deploy runs only after your explicit approval.
Fix, commit and push to main. Cloud Run can also shift traffic to an older revision; GKE uses kubectl rollout undo.
In GCP Secret Manager, passed with --secrets, not as plain environment variables.
Copy the prompt at the top into your agent. It installs the skill from google/agents-cli and sets up the habit. Or run npx skills add google/agents-cli --skill google-agents-cli-deploy.
