The skill
The okf knowledge base skill guides an agent through the Open Knowledge Format v0.2: concept files, types, provenance, links, indexes and logs.
Only when you ask.
The habit
Knowledge bundle stays conformant.
↻ Runs by itselfweekly bundle check
When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after 20 concepts and one retry per run.
The agent opens the nearest index.md and the latest log.md entries.
It checks reserved files, lowercase names, links and that no .mdx is used.
It confirms each concept has a type and that provenance dates have an explicit UTC offset.
It reads the generated .ok/okf/*.schema.json files instead of guessing field rules.
It corrects metadata without inventing facts, sources or verification.
It adds a dated, newest-first log.md entry for each durable change.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the OKF Knowledge Base skill helps.
No. Generated index.md files are machine-owned and stay untouched.
No. Expired or deprecated content is a trust signal, not a validation failure.
Copy the prompt at the top into your agent. It installs the skill from inkeep/open-knowledge-skills and sets up the habit. Or run npx skills add inkeep/open-knowledge-skills --skill okf-knowledge-base.
