Printing Press Reprint

The skill
The printing press reprint skill regenerates an existing printed CLI under the current Printing Press, carrying prior research, novel features and patches into the new run.
Only when you ask.
The habit
Regenerate CLIs after machine upgrades.
↻ Runs by itselfPrinting Press upgrade lands
When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after one CLI handoff per run.
Your agent matches the CLI in registry.json and compares local and public run_id and generated_at.
If only the public copy exists, it runs /printing-press-import first.
It finds research.json and fetches patches in either index shape.
It shows research age and machine version and asks reuse, redo or show first.
It reads the prior scorecard and asks about MCP or auth enrichment for weak dimensions.
It invokes /printing-press with the reason, research mode, enrichment and prior patches.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the Printing Press Reprint skill helps.
For one-off code fixes. Reprint redoes research and the manuscript.
They are carried into the brief as a watch-list, and regen fails if a recorded file is gone.
Copy the prompt at the top into your agent. It installs the skill from mvanhorn/cli-printing-press and sets up the habit. Or run npx skills add mvanhorn/cli-printing-press --skill printing-press-reprint.
Yes. It is published under MIT. Habit is free too.
