ML Paper Writing

The skill
The ml paper writing skill helps an agent draft and format papers for NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, AAAI and COLM from a research repo, with LaTeX templates, verified citations and venue checklists.
Only when you ask.
The habit
No unverified citation reaches submission.
↻ Runs by itselfpush to paper repo
When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after one draft and at most 50 new citations per run.
Your agent runs latexmk -pdf main.tex and stops on errors.
It lists every \cite key and the matching entries in the .bib file.
It searches Semantic Scholar and confirms the paper in arXiv or CrossRef too.
It pulls BibTeX through doi.org instead of writing entries from memory.
It confirms the cited claim really appears in the paper.
Anything it cannot verify becomes a placeholder, and the scientist gets the list.
It checks the venue checklist from references/checklists.md and the page limit.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the ML Paper Writing skill helps.
No. The skill forbids BibTeX from memory; unverified citations become marked placeholders.
The skill can draft sections, but this loop only checks build and citations on each push.
Copy the prompt at the top into your agent. It installs the skill from orchestra-research/ai-research-skills and sets up the habit. Or run npx skills add orchestra-research/ai-research-skills --skill ml-paper-writing.
Yes. It is published under MIT. Habit is free too.
