PARA Memory Files

The skill
The para memory files skill gives an agent file-based memory in three layers: a PARA knowledge graph, daily notes and tacit user patterns, with qmd for recall.
Only when you ask.
The habit
Keep agent memory sorted weekly.
↻ Runs by itselfweekly memory synthesis
When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after one week of daily notes per run.
Your agent reads the week's files in $AGENT_HOME/memory/.
It saves durable facts to items.yaml under projects, areas or resources.
It makes a new entity only when the skill's rules say so; otherwise the note stays daily.
It rewrites each summary.md from the active facts.
It moves inactive entities to archives and marks old facts superseded, never deleting them.
It adds new user patterns to $AGENT_HOME/MEMORY.md.
It runs qmd index $AGENT_HOME so recall finds the new facts.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the PARA Memory Files skill helps.
No. It marks them superseded and links the newer fact.
With qmd query, qmd search or qmd vsearch instead of grep.
Copy the prompt at the top into your agent. It installs the skill from paperclipai/paperclip and sets up the habit. Or run npx skills add paperclipai/paperclip --skill para-memory-files.
Yes. It is published under MIT. Habit is free too.
