Qodo Get Rules

The skill
The qodo get rules skill helps development teams retrieve their organization's Qodo coding rules for a task and apply them by severity while the agent writes or reviews code.
Only when you ask.
The habit
Team coding rules applied every task.
↻ Runs by itselfcoding task starts
When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after one task; at most one broadened retry when a topic query returns fewer than 3 rules.
If saved rules still cover this scope, skip retrieval and apply them.
Run qodo --version, then qodo read whoami, or use the read-only rules-search MCP tool.
Take the repo path from the origin remote, or omit --scopes when none parses.
Build a topic query and a cross-cutting query in the Name, Category, Content format.
Run qodo read rules search with --top-k 20 for each, merge and dedup by id.
Say what each rule means for the change and apply it by severity.
If an ERROR rule must be broken, stop and ask the user.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the Qodo Get Rules skill helps.
No. The skill treats an empty merged list as valid and proceeds without rule constraints.
rules search is read-only; it never changes workspace state.
Copy the prompt at the top into your agent. It installs the skill from qodo-ai/qodo-skills and sets up the habit. Or run npx skills add qodo-ai/qodo-skills --skill qodo-get-rules.
Yes. It is published under MIT. Habit is free too.
