The skill
The react test skill runs tests for the React codebase on the source, experimental, stable, classic and www channels, with the right yarn command and flags.
Only when you ask.
The habit
React tests run per channel.
↻ Runs by itselfReact core pull request
When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after one pull request per run, with at most six channel runs.
The agent takes the test pattern from the changed files, because a run without one is very slow.
It reads the channel from the arguments and uses source when none is given.
It picks yarn test, yarn test -r=experimental, yarn test-stable, yarn test-classic or yarn test-www.
Every run uses --silent so only failures show, and --no-watchman for sandboxes.
For __VARIANT__ flags it runs test-www once normally and once with --variant=false.
If a test is skipped, it checks the @gate pragma with the feature-flags skill.
It reports results and failures and writes the failing patterns to the log.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the React test skill helps.
Without a pattern the run covers all tests, which takes very long.
The source channel, which uses the defaults from ReactFeatureFlags.js.
Copy the prompt at the top into your agent. It installs the skill from react/react and sets up the habit. Or run npx skills add react/react --skill test.
