Book Study

The skill
Book Study is a reading coach that guides you chapter by chapter: pre-reading questions, knowledge compilation into a wiki, Socratic mastery tests and spaced-repetition review.
Only when you ask.
The habit
Book concepts held in long-term memory.
↻ Runs by itselfyou open the book
When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after one chapter cycle or review session per run.
Your agent reads study-plan.md and mastery-map.md to see where you left off and what is due.
It reviews due knowledge points first with one Socratic question each, resetting failed items.
It sets two or three pre-reading questions tied to your goal before you read the chapter.
It compiles your notes into concepts, cases, models, quotes and questions pages.
It tests with the four-criterion rubric and the mastery threshold before advancing.
It requires a small application task before marking a concept mastered.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the Book Study skill helps.
No. The skill proves understanding with explanation, example and application, never a self-report alone.
Spaced repetition: due items are reviewed first on every return, with intervals that stretch on a pass and reset on a fail.
Copy the prompt at the top into your agent. It installs the skill from sanyuan0704/sanyuan-skills and sets up the habit. Or run npx skills add sanyuan0704/sanyuan-skills --skill book-study.
