The skill
The plan crafting skill helps coding agents turn an approved design into a detailed implementation plan with bite-sized, test-first tasks, exact files and a self-review before execution.
Only when you ask.
The habit
Approved specs become executable plans.

When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after one plan per run; at most 3 automatic review rounds.
Say that plan-crafting is creating the implementation plan.
List files to create or change and what each is responsible for.
Write right-sized tasks with Files, Interfaces, test-first steps and commits.
Check coverage, placeholders, type consistency and symbol closure.
If cross-review is installed and a spec exists, run it and apply fixes through review-resolution.
Save the plan and ask you to pick inline-plan-dev or subagent-plan-dev.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the Plan Crafting skill helps.
For mechanical steps yes; for stateful logic it states behavior and test scenarios instead.
No. Execution never starts without your explicit choice.
Copy the prompt at the top into your agent. It installs the skill from sentimony/skills and sets up the habit. Or run npx skills add sentimony/skills --skill plan-crafting.
