The skill
The flue skill lets a coding agent drive desktop software such as Blender, Photoshop, Premiere and Unity from the shell through a small bridge that returns JSON, for people who want app control without MCP servers.
Only when you ask.
The habit
Desktop app edits, one step.

When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after one small script per run and at most one retry.
Run flue version, and if it is missing stop and tell the human that Flue is not installed.
Open adapters/<app>/APP.md and search adapters/<app>/docs/api-index.txt with rg for the symbols you need.
Use python3 -m flue.cli context <app> to see what the running app holds now.
Send a small, bounded script through python3 -m flue.cli run <app> --stdin.
Check that the result on stdout reports success and matches the change you asked for.
Ask the human before any save, close, export, render or destructive operation.
Write the app, the script purpose and the result into the step log.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the Flue skill helps.
No. It is a small bridge command that runs a script inside the app and returns JSON.
No. The skill forbids install or setup unless the human approves it in the current session.
Those with an adapter, such as Blender, Photoshop, Premiere, Unity, Excel and Word.
Copy the prompt at the top into your agent. It installs the skill from SFKislev/Flue and sets up the habit. Or run npx skills add SFKislev/Flue --skill flue.
