The skill
The financial insights skill reads a user's Link transactions, balances, connected sources and precomputed insights to answer read-only questions about spending, available funds, connected accounts and account activity.
Only when you ask.
The habit
A weekly answer about your spending.
↻ Runs by itselfevery Monday morning
When does it start? How does it check its work? What does it remember?
Stops after one weekly summary; a pending insight is not called again in the same run.
If access is denied, the agent says what it could not read and stops without retrying.
It uses list_transactions, list_balances and list_sources only as far as the question needs.
It follows starting_after with the same filters until has_more is false.
It calls list_available_insight_types, then list_insights with only the IDs it needs.
It converts minor units with the ISO 4217 exponent and keeps each currency apart.
The answer comes first, then the period, the sources and limits such as stale balances or pending activity.
It writes only in its own folder and asks you before anything goes out.
Read both lists. If the left one sounds like you, the Financial Insights skill helps.
No. The skill is read-only. Purchases and payment credentials belong to the separate create-payment-credential skill.
The summary says which access is missing and continues without that data. It never asks for tokens in chat.
No. An empty result only means nothing was available for those filters and that access.
Copy the prompt at the top into your agent. It installs the skill from stripe/link-cli and sets up the habit. Or run npx skills add stripe/link-cli --skill financial-insights.
